With the Lord’s Will in 2013, GCDC purchased 4237 Hill Avenue, 4263 Hill Avenue, and 4325 Hill Avenue , Toledo, Ohio via a $191,000.00 Mortgage with State Bank, and combined the three parcels totaling 20.652 acres to develop a Community Campus affectionately known as "The Hill."  In 2014, GCDC raised $40,000.00 for the construction of the Tabernacle & Fellowship Center ("TFC") and received $250,000.00 in total grants from 2015 - 2017 from the Churches of God, General Conference to complete the foundation, footer and underground plumbing for the TFC.  With the Lord’s Will, GCDC will convert and renovate its existing Barn into the TFC based upon a Construction Estimate of $1.2 Million.

GCDC will use the TFC to minister to the City of Toledo and Surrounding Communities. GCDC will hold its Worship Services and Classes at this location, as well as, provide mentoring, after school programs, physical fitness training, financial stewardship training, parenting classes, and other weekly events for the Toledo Community as a whole. The TFC will have a Kitchen, Bathrooms, Classrooms, Stage, Meeting Room, Storage Rooms, and Large 300 Seat Area for Services, Weddings, Community Events, Picnics, Reunions, Graduation and Wedding Receptions, and other Community Related Events.

 

The overall vision for The Hill is to be a Community Campus open to everyone that will provide a Youth Football and Soccer Field with surrounding Track, as well as a Full Court Basketball Court adjoining the TFC with a Commercial Kitchen for Community Events and Engagements.  The Hill Grounds will also have a Nature Path through the woods in the Southeast corner of the property to to enhance and provide greater outdoor opportunities in the inner city, as well as, a Prayer Garden located at the base and top of the hill behind the TFC.
