Gethsemane Christian Discipleship Church ("GCDC") had its first Worship Service on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at the former Clarion/Ramada Hotel on Secor Road in Toledo, Ohio. GCDC was blessed to have 15 people join that Sunday, which set GCDC in Kingdom Motion!

Our Mission is to “Make Kingdom Building Christian Disciples” (Matthew 28:18-20) and our Vision is “To Love God and Our Neighbors in CommUnity." (Matthew 22:37-40). We seek to train, equip and develop Disciples through Biblical Teaching, Preaching, with a focus on our 5 Stones (1 Samuel 17:40), which are to to help everyone become (1) Spiritually Mature, (2) Emotionally Healthy, (3) Financially Wise, (4) Physically Fit, and (5) Relationally Connected.

Our Worship Services, Youth Church, Foundation of the Kingdom, Discipleship Training, and Community Outreach give us opportunities to grow in God's Word and relationship with one another by strengthening each Disciple in CommUnity.

Our CommUnity Outreach through Back-To-School and Clothes Give Aways, Block Watch Participation, Wolf Creek YMCA Youth Go Hard Program, Fairview Nursing Home Ministry opportunities, Rock the Block Community Clean Up with Maumee Habitat for Humanity, and Tent City support give us the opportunity to give back to others as God blesses us.

In 2013, we were blessed to purchase our 20.7 Acre campus called “The Hill” (John 6:3) located at 4263 Hill Avenue.  The Hill will bless God’s Kingdom and the Toledo Community with spiritual growth, financial literacy training, emotional health and wellness opportunities, estate planning instruction, after-school tutoring and mentoring, a Christian Sports Complex, and a safe and peaceful atmosphere to grow wholistically in all areas of life.

We will Go where God says Go and Do what God says Do seeking to walk as Jesus did (1 John 2:6) each step of the Way!
